Project -The Cape

These days, luxury is not about loud, over-the-top decorative flourishes. Rather, subtlety and elegance are hallmarks of the sophisticated life. For a young family living in an apartment in The Cape condominium, a home that reflects quiet, tasteful living that appeals to the entire family.

Going with the clients’ preferred palette of black and white, glossy acrylic surfaces lend a polished sheen to the rooms. The dining area opens up to the living room, and instead of a feature wall that would dominate the space, the owner wanted to kept the console sleek and streamlined.

The living area is an oasis of black and white with a soothing grey tones – a refreshing change from the stark white spaces local home owners prefer.  The rest of the furnishings like the carpet, curtain and sofa offer subtle textures in grey. Adding that bit of wood texture helps to elevate the feel of the space to something more cozy.
